A smaller yarding in Gunnedah today with 3,980 cattle scanned down about 1,200 head on last week. The yarding was mixed in quality, consisting predominantly of cows, weaners, and yearling types.
While light restocker cattle met a softer market, it was a different story for the heavy end. All major buyers were active, driving prices dearer for all grades of cows and prime heavy cattle.
