Livestock Entries Include -

Sheep & Goats:

A/C Gardner P/Ship - 58 x Dorper ewes, majority '20 drop with some '19 drop ewes, joined to Dorper rams from 28/3 till 29/5, SIL tocommence lambing from the 20/08 till the 21/10. Drenched & vaccinated, outstanding quality young ewes.

A/C DS & VA Tonkins - 22 x Aussie white ewes depast to Aussie White Rams, some ewes with lambs at foot, good quality.

A/C C & J Mammen - 10 x maiden Dorper ewes, depast to Dorper ram for 12 weeks. 10 x Dorper wether hoggets - ready for the freezer

A/C J Devine - 8 x Dorper ewes with lambs at foot, 4 x dorper wether hoggets.

A/C P & S Morgan - 36 x Rangeland Goats, inc 3 bucks & 10 does all breeding age. 23 weaners including 9 does & 14 bucks. Quite, well handled young goats that present in fresh condition.

Cattle:

A/C J & S Harris - 8 x Fresian Bull calves, 2 weeks of age, great for poddy rearers

A/C G Osland - 4 x dairy calves, bucket reared & on pellets

A/C D Campbell - 12 x Euro & British cross steers weaners.

A/C HCJ P/S - 5 x Angus steer weaners, drenched and vaccinated.

A/C J Hall - 1 x Angus cow PTIC to Angus bull

Poultry:

6 x guinea Fowl; 4 x Large Leghorn pullets + cage; 6 x bantam leghorn hens + cage; Standard black Langshan cockerel - Gunnedah Poultry show champion; 2 x Trios of Bantams; 6 x Plymouth Rocks hens & 1 x Plymouth Rock Rooster

Working Dog Pups:

3 male pups, 12 weeks old, microchipped & vaccinated, bred from proven working parents that are both paddock and yard dogs on cattle and sheep. Grand sire of pups won Aus kelpie trials 2 yrs running. All pups are overflowing with natural ability, showing plenty of eye and willingness to work sheep and goats.

Gunnedah Cattle Sales Weekly Report 9th June 2026

Numbers surged significantly at Gunnedah this week, with 1,973 cattle yarded, a massive jump of 1,100 head from last week. While all major buyers were active with steady competition, the overall market plateaued, showcasing a plainer yarding with limited prime lines on offer. Lighter cattle grades trended softer.
