Gunnedah Fat Cattle Sale Results - 11/07/2023

Description

This week there was a total yarding of 1173 cattle. The market remained similar to last weeks levels across most grades, with market trends starting to show a bit more confidence throughout.

Our JBR Team yarded 237 head with cattle represented from Mullaley, Gunnedah & Binnaway. Some of the stand out results include:

Mullaley District - 10 Santa x Shorthorn cows @ 202.2c x 843kg= $1705. 12 Santa x hfrs @ 252.2c x 373.8kg = $942

Morgan - Currabubula - A pen of Hereford feeder strs @ 310.2c x 372kg =$1153

Distwin - Binnaway - A pen of Angus hfrs @ 272.2c x 367kg = $998

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 7th July 2026

Numbers bounced back strongly in Gunnedah this week, with 1,643 cattle yarded an increase of 690 head from last week. It was another high-quality yarding dominated by yearling and weaner cattle. All the major buyers were at the rail and competing hard, driving a mostly dearer market across the board.

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 30th June 2026

Numbers continue to eased in Gunnedah with 945 cattle scanned, down 140 head from last week. It was a fair quality yarding dominated by yearlings and weaners, though some larger runs of excellent quality cattle kept competition healthy. While prime cattle were in limited supply, most major buyers were active in the lanes, driving a solid, firm market across the board.
