Gunnedah Fat Cattle Sale Results - 13/9/2022

Description

There was an increased yarding to 1564 head, with the market dominated by feeder cattle and some very good export cattle. The market remained firm with solid competition throughout the yarding.

The JBR Team yarded 148 head, some of the highlights from this weeks sale include:

B&J Knapman - Gunnedah - A quality pen of Angus strs@  566.2c x525kg = $2972

Rumbel - Coolah - A pen of X Bred feeder Hfrs @ 500c x 448kg =$2243 

Denyer - Walgett - A pen Santa Angus strs @ 522.2c x 522kg = $2727

Ellicott - Gwabegar  - A pen of Angus Strs @ 676.2c x 243kg = $1645

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 7th July 2026

Numbers bounced back strongly in Gunnedah this week, with 1,643 cattle yarded an increase of 690 head from last week. It was another high-quality yarding dominated by yearling and weaner cattle. All the major buyers were at the rail and competing hard, driving a mostly dearer market across the board.

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 30th June 2026

Numbers continue to eased in Gunnedah with 945 cattle scanned, down 140 head from last week. It was a fair quality yarding dominated by yearlings and weaners, though some larger runs of excellent quality cattle kept competition healthy. While prime cattle were in limited supply, most major buyers were active in the lanes, driving a solid, firm market across the board.
