Gunnedah Fat Cattle Sale Results - 26/7/2022

Description

We saw a reduced yarding this week with numbers back to 1334 head. Overall market trends remained firm with some increased competition through the cow market.

The JBR Team yarded 278 head, with cattle coming from- Gunnedah,

Mullaley, Coonamble, Collarenebri, Garah, Walgett.

Cotswold - Somerton - A pen of Hereford cows @ 327.2c x 698kg =$2286

Nalder - Coonamble - A pen of empty Angus heifers @ 420c x 570kg =$2397

Denyer - Walgett - A pen shorthorn cows @ 329.2c x 653kg = $2152

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 7th July 2026

Numbers bounced back strongly in Gunnedah this week, with 1,643 cattle yarded an increase of 690 head from last week. It was another high-quality yarding dominated by yearling and weaner cattle. All the major buyers were at the rail and competing hard, driving a mostly dearer market across the board.

Gunnedah Sale Yards Weekly Report 30th June 2026

Numbers continue to eased in Gunnedah with 945 cattle scanned, down 140 head from last week. It was a fair quality yarding dominated by yearlings and weaners, though some larger runs of excellent quality cattle kept competition healthy. While prime cattle were in limited supply, most major buyers were active in the lanes, driving a solid, firm market across the board.
