Description
A massive surge in numbers at Gunnedah this week, with 2,240 cattle yarded up 1,100 head on last week!
Overall, it was a fair quality yarding featuring predominantly young cattle alongside an increased offering of store cows. All major buyers were in attendance for a mostly cheaper market.

- Prime Yearling (Trade): 424c to 518c/kg
- Feeder Steers (<400kg): Marginally cheaper | 486c to 596c/kg
- Feeder Steers (>400kg): Up 15c/kg | 514c to 604c/kg (avg 582c/kg)
- Feeder Heifers (<400kg): Considerably cheaper | 420c to 550c/kg
- Feeder Heifers (>400kg): Firm to dearer | 430c to 566c/kg
Restocker Lines
- Light Steers: Down 10c | 518c to 570c/kg
- Light Heifers: Down 40c+ | 350c to 498c/kg
Grown Cattle & Cows
- Prime Grown (Processor): Topped at 440c/kg
- 2 & 3 Score Cows: Improved quality | 358c to 388c/kg
- 4 Score Heavy Cows: Down 5c | 388c to 410c/kg
- Heavy Bulls: Topped at 390c/kg
